what3words is a free and very useful locator tool, easy to use (on a PC, mob phone or tablet) and accurate to within 3m anywhere in the World. You can pinpoint your own location without a mob phone signal or wifi.
what3words is a very accurate navigation tool: having entered the 3 word locator of your intended destination in the what3words app, select navigate, then select your preferred map app (eg Google Maps) , then select directions. ( what3words is used by the emergency services.)
Remember, each 3m x 3m square of the earth has its own unique 3 word designator – eg pigeons.faster.razzle – and note that between each word is a full stop.
