THE BIG HELP
MONDAY MORNING, 8th May
You will be aware that our new King has requested that over the Coronation week end, we should find time as a nation to help those less able to help themselves.
The plan for Wield is that help will be provided on the morning of Monday 8 May. Previously identified requests for help ( however trivial) will be allocated to those who have offered to help. .The Parish Council will coordinate this activity and can be contacted on:
HOW TO CONTACT THE PC
o email: roland.wieldpc@gmail.com, ( please copy to: wieldpc@gmail.com)
o WhatsApp & Tel: Roland Richardson 0773 991 7438
REQUESTS FOR HELP
- Requests for help (including a BRIEF description of the task) and contact details should be passed by Fri 28 April to the Parish Council.
- Any short notice tasks after 28 April should also be passed to Jean.
- Any realistic task will be considered, however trivial, (from changing a difficult to reach light bulb to clearing gutters, stacking wood.)
- T limiting factor is the time available on Monday 8th May (0900-1245hrs)
OFFERS OF HELP
- Offers of help should be made to the PC by 28 April
- Offers of help should include contact details and any particular skill or ability.
PROCEDURE
Help requests and help offers should be made by 28 April to the PC
- help and helpers will then be matched by the PC before the 8th May and both parties informed
- Helpers should then make contact with those allocated to them to arrange start time, task details etc..
- On completion of task or if more time needed, helpers should inform the PC
- The principle limiting factor is that this anticipated whirlwind of activity should ideally be completed on the Monday morning.
- But “The Big Help” does not of course end at lunchtime on Monday 8th May. Tasks which cannot be completed could perhaps be logged and continued later
